Inaluxe

Apologies for not posting in a while! I do add blogposts to my web blog too, which seems to have had a lot more of my attention recently! I stumbled across brand Inaluxe on Pinterest. Inaluxe is run by Kristina Sostarko and Jason Odd. Their studio is located in a small country town in the Grampians, Victoria, Australia. They specialise in print and textile design, and I think their large colourful prints would make a bold statement in any room. I'm generally a fan of highly illustrative linear prints and patterns, but the colour use within these graphic prints is just lovely. I'd love one for the studio wall! The bird prints have character and quirk, and I particularly like the decorative circle framing the pink Kookaburra. Their facebook page is full of inspiring images and posts so check it out here!

Sarah Maycock

It's been a while since I have added a post here on my blogspot. September saw me visit London a couple of times both for work and pleasure and I have added a fair few posts about my findings here. I came across Sarah Maycock's work whilst browsing some blogs, and I think the bear ink painting in particular is just stunning. It would make such a bold statement in a room, I'd love to have it for myself! Having said that, the fox is pretty special too. You can view moe of Sarah's work by visiting her website here.

Prague

Hello! I returned home from a long weekend in Prague on Monday night, exhausted but well worth it! I went with two of my friends from art college: Lianne and Kate. It was so lovely to catch up in an amazing city and have a great time like we did whilst studying together. We have all developed an obsession with Instagram, so we had lots of fun taking and uploading photos. I've compiled some of my favourites taken by all three of us, hope you like them!

Dawn Gardner

Another designer exhibiting in the 'one year on' section the week I was in London was Graphic Designer, Dawn Gardner. Her use of photos combined with graphic colour is simply gorgeous and I've not seen anything like her work anywhere else. I have my eye on a couple of prints on her Society 6 shop and just had to buy a pack of her graphic cards at the show itself. Below are some of my faves, but every print in her portfolio is just great.

New Designers 'one year on'

I just wanted to post a few pictures from my week down in London for New Designers. I was thrilled when I found out I had been chosen to exhibit, and after a long journey with possibly the heaviest suitcase in history, I made it to the capital excited to exhibit alongside other up and coming designer makers. Below are some images of me and my stand, Rachel Powell, a lovely lady who was launching a range of simple but stunning wallpaper prints, tea towels and high end veneer lamp. Finally, Louise Tiler (last years New Designer of the year) with her intricate gorgeous prints and products and . We had a fun week chatting, laughing and of course meeting industry contacts. Things have been hectic since I got home, and there are some exciting projects in the pipeline. Watch this space for more updates :)

Final Day in London

I was in London for New Designer's One Year On last week (will post pics soon-ish...) and I spent my last morning in London going around Old Spitalfields market. After an expensive few weeks I was feeling rather skint, so a market full of unique and interesting products was probably not the best place to go. I stumbled across a stall of up-cycled leather bags made by a lovely lady who was very patient when I ummed and ahh-ed about whether to get a bag. I didn't and thought I would email later in the year to purchase one when my bank balance was a bit healthier. Totally regretted it and have now messaged her saying I need one NOW!
Her company is called Yildiz & I and you can view the facebook page here.

Below are a few images from her facebook page

I am loving Instagram at the moment so took a few snaps of buildings and things in around the market. Can't wait for my next visit to London!
